WebI’m a SL and one of my TL’s recently had a PAR approved by HRC for a special promotion to sergeant, backdated to March 1st of this year. I know IPPS-A has been a headache for many for semi-centralized promotions but it feels unfair to make my soldier wait, for something that has been approved, to process on this ridiculous system before pinning.

WebBoard files are automatically locked and validated once MyBoardFile closes and will therefore be viewed by the board. So yes-your records will still go before the board. The problem is if you do not get promoted you cannot come back and ask for a STAB just because you did not validate your records and maybe forgot to add or fix something.
