WebPersonnel serving in NWCG positions need only to meet the qualification and currency requirements outlined in the 310-1. However, some 310-1 training courses will supplement or serve as creditable substitutes for training required under the IAT System, and some IAT courses are included in NWCG curricula. WebThe year of experience must have included at least one season* of wildland fire suppression work. One season of smokejumping fire suppression work at the GS-5 grade level is also required. *A season is at least 3 months of continuous employment on a seasonal basis. Note: Entry level smokejumper positions are not entry-level firefighting positions.
