However, some 310-1 training courses will supplement or serve as creditable substitutes for training required under the IAT System, and some IAT courses are included in NWCG curricula. One season of smokejumping fire suppression work at the GS-5 grade level is also required. *A season is at least 3 months of continuous employment on a seasonal basis.
